Specialist insurer and reinsurer Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed Andrew Page (pictured above) to head its terrorism and political violence team. He reports to Chris King, the firm’s head of crisis management.
Page has more than 15 years of industry experience, especially in underwriting. He joined Apollo from Beazley, where he spent a decade underwriting terrorism and political violence in both London and Singapore. Earlier in his career, Page worked at Chaucer Syndicates and Brit Insurance in underwriting roles.
“Andrew’s arrival is a critical element of our strategic expansion plan for the terrorism and political violence line of business, which Chris has spearheaded,” said David Ibeson, Apollo group CEO. “Chris will now focus on further developing the crisis management division, strengthening Apollo’s multi-line offering including political risk and specialty disruption insurance solutions. Apollo currently provides terrorism coverage globally and serves clients of all sizes, from small enterprises to large multinational corporations.
