Aon has agreed to work with Moody’s to deliver innovative insurance and risk management solutions to its clients.

The company said that Moody’s credit data and analytics will allow it to track large amounts of data, providing its finance teams with deeper insights into creditworthiness and potential exposures.

Moody’s, a financial intelligence platform, uses analytical data to provide information that could help organizations and financial leaders make decisions about their businesses, especially amid emerging risks and factors.

Under the partnership, Aon’s Credit Solutions team can refer their clients to Moody’s where they can use the latter’s credit data and analytics platform to gain insight on emerging credit risks. The partnership will give clients better access to insurance broking and risk management tools.

The global referral agreement will first be rolled out in Europe, with plans to expand coverage globally.

Commenting on the partnership, Nicolas Carreno, chief operating officer of credit solutions at Aon, said that advanced analytics is becoming an effective way to gain a deeper understanding of portfolio risk amid emerging threats.

He added that leading institutions are implementing advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to predict credit events and monitor risk profiles.

“We believe Moody’s is well placed to help support our clients in moving forward on their credit risk management journey,” Carreno said.

Michael Steel, general manager of Moody’s insurance solutions, recognized Aon’s commitment to providing the best risk management insight to its clients.

Calling Aon a “world-renowned” risk advisor, Steel said: “This deep understanding of client’s needs, together with our respected solutions, will help Aon’s clients to consider the use of Moody’s extensive and diverse data sets, made simple and visible by predictive analytics that help to anticipate the effects of emerging threats, identify vulnerabilities, spot and seize opportunities, and support lasting competitive advantage.”
