Aon will have a new office in 2 Callaghan Square in Cardiff.
A report by
WalesOnline said over 100 jobs will be created as part of the move, adding to the professional services firm’s global workforce of around 50,000. The Welsh location will serve as the base for Aon Affinity.
“Cardiff has a strong and vibrant insurance and financial services sector with excellent customer service capability, which were key factors in the decision to open an office in the city,” said Affinity managing director Martyn Denney, as quoted by the report. “We’re delighted to be able to bring our business to Wales.”
It was not specified which positions would be available, but Aon Affinity’s offerings include full-service brokerage capabilities, actuarial support, as well as risk management advice and expertise.
Last month Economy Secretary Ken Skates said the Welsh Government will provide a simplified, unified, and competitive package of business support to companies who commit to growth, fair work, carbon footprint reduction, and promoting health, up-skilling, and learning in the workplace.
