There’s a new second in command at brokerage giant
Aon in the form of John Bruno who takes over the role of chief operations officer effectively immediately.
In his new post, Bruno will be responsible for improving global business operations to further empower colleague collaboration and client innovation. He will also take charge of Aon’s technology organization.
“I am energized by the opportunity to make it easier for our colleagues to create value for our clients and align business operations to create further capacity for growth,” Bruno said.
Bruno joined Aon in 2014 as the executive vice president of enterprise innovation and chief information officer. Aon said Bruno has delivered “innovative infrastructure and technology solutions that have simplified processes, increased colleague productivity and established platforms for growth.”
“We are constantly looking for ways to make it easier and more compelling for clients to expand their relationship with Aon,” said Aon president and CEO Greg Case.
“John has substantially enhanced the manner in which we leverage technology to create value for our clients and I am confident he will find similar, innovative ways to improve our global business operations.”
Before moving to Aon, Bruno held various senior leadership roles in several firms including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Cisco Systems.
