We’ve heard of celebrities insuring some weird and wonderful things over the years, such as Keith Richards insuring his hands and David Beckham insuring his legs, but what about insuring each other?
TV duo Ant & Dec have been inseparable for their entire careers, dating back to their days as PJ and Duncan in the children’s show
Byker Grove, through to their hosting gigs on
Saturday Night Takeaway and
I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. As two of the highest paid stars on British television it’s no surprise then that they have taken out insurance on each other.
“I insure him and he insures me,” explained Dec in an interview with
Fabulous Magazine.

“It’s six figures, I think,” added Ant. “But it’s not like anything evil is going to happen. I think I would be the first suspect if we were together and Dec suddenly fell off a cliff! I’ve got a big motive.”
The duo stated that their insurance policy is close to expiring and they will have to consider whether to take out a new policy.
“We should check the premium first,” joked Ant.
The duo were criticised last year when they presented links separately on
I’m a Celebrity, further emphasising their importance to each other’s careers.
“We got on our Twitter feeds afterwards and were like ‘OMG, Britain has gone into meltdown,’” stated Ant.
“Whenever we think about ideas, we think about how we would do it together.”
