Industry veteran Dale Chow has returned to global insurance firm
Allied World after spending several years at rival companies.
Allied World has appointed Chow as senior vice president for professional lines for its operations in Bermuda.
In his new role, Chow will be responsible for the strategic direction, management, marketing and underwriting of Allied World Bermuda’s professional lines.
Chow will oversee business that includes primary and excess professional liability, excess directors and officers, fiduciary, financial institutions, primary employment practices liability, cyber liability, wage and hour and errors and omissions.
“Dale has been a respected figure within the Bermuda market for over a decade and brings a depth of experience like no other. We look forward to him joining the team,” said Mike McCrimmon, Allied World’s Bermuda branch manager.
Chow will reinforce Allied World’s “strong commitment” to Bermuda, which “continues to be an important market for the company,” said Christian Gravier, North America president for professional lines.
“Dale’s reputation and depth of knowledge will be great assets as we continue to meet the needs of our trading partners and clients,” Gravier said.
Chow has more than 23 years of experience in management, professional and transactional lines of business.
Chow left Allied World in 2007 after serving as vice president for professional lines for nearly five years. He then joined
Chubb in Canada where he was vice president and Vancouver branch manager for more than three years.
He most recently worked at rival firm Endurance, where he was senior vice president for professional lines for almost five years.
