Two giants are coming together – with insurance at the heart of their collaboration.
Allianz Worldwide Partners has signed an agreement with UK energy supplier npower, which will see the former provide a range of boiler and central heating care for homes throughout the country.
According to a release announcing the news earlier today, npower will be responsible for introducing home services products to customers with Allianz fulfilling these services – with a nationwide network of heating and boiler engineers providing home assistance.
Two products from the partners will launch in August in the form of gas boiler cover and central heating cover – both will come with two excess options of £0 or £99, with prices starting from £10.92 a month.
According to Andy Wiggans, npower commercial director, a range of home services will be provided as part of the partnership in the coming months.
“We know our customers lead very busy lives and need peace of mind that expert care provides,” he said. “Working with Allianz Worldwide Partners – a market leader in the provision of assistance and insurance services - means we can keep our customers warm and their homes working well.
“Although we’re starting off working on home services, with the need for new infrastructure to deliver the connected home of the future there’s massive potential for growth in this area.”
“This is a very exciting opportunity for npower and Allianz Worldwide Partners to create bespoke home services that meet the needs of today’s home owner,” added Lee Taylor, chief sales officer for Northern, Eastern and Central Europe for Allianz Worldwide Partners. “Our network of engineers, which includes those employed by boiler and heating manufacturers, means we can offer the highest level of expertise to npower customers to resolve their heating problems.
“However, it’s our combined commitment to innovate and deliver home services for the future that really makes our partnership a significant proposition.”
