Allianz Trade, a trade credit insurer, has announced the appointment of Peter Evola (pictured) as its new commercial director for the UK and Ireland.
“Peter’s understanding of the market, the needs of our brokers and clients, our business and services and solutions we offer is invaluable and make him the perfect candidate for this role,” said Sarah Murrow, CEO at Allianz Trade UK.
Evola will succeed Steve Stennett who is set to leave the firm.
Evola has been with the firm for 12 years and has worked within the UK and Ireland, Northern Europe region as well as the group’s head office in Paris. He has been promoted to roles such as senior commercial underwriter, head of group commercial office, and Northern Europe regional head of commercial underwriting. Prior to his new role, he was the UK head of broker distribution.
According to LinkedIn, he took up his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Computer Science at the University of Kent. He received a certificate for participating in the Allianz Management Program for Organisational Leadership which was in partnership with ESMT Berlin.
In his new post as commercial director, Evola will be tasked with leading the team to drive profitable growth as well as contributing as a member of the UK and Ireland management team. He will be reporting to Murrow and will be based in the Canary Wharf London office.
He will take up his new post on Dec 1, subject to regulatory process.
