Distribution manager Rob Corner has a new role to play at Allianz Insurance.
Joining the strategic distribution management team of commercial & personal broker markets, Corner will now be in charge of managing and setting the direction for some of the insurer’s national strategic accounts and networks. In his capacity as strategic account manager, the executive will contribute to the evolution of Allianz’s distribution strategy in the UK.
Corner, who most recently worked at the Southampton branch, has been tapped to maintain and strengthen key relationships with the company’s broker accounts. He started at Allianz in 2013 as part of the Corporate Management Trainee programme and later went on to serve as business developer in Woking.
“I have no doubt that Rob will be a great addition to our strategic distribution management team,” said Nick Hobbs, director of broker markets, commercial & personal. “He brings with him an excellent knowledge of regional markets, which will benefit our broker partners as well as our customers.
“It’s a real testament to the talent of Allianz’s people that we have filled this position internally.”
