Allianz Commercial has named Graham Stait (pictured) as regional manager, Midlands and Southwest, commercial regions.
In his new role, effective February 1, Stait will lead the region, working with the branch trading operations, strengthening ties with local brokers and customers, as well as driving new opportunities for the regional team.
Prior to his promotion, Stait was serving as Allianz’s head of claims operations and was a member of the Allianz Claims Management Committee. He joined Allianz in 2008, and has since held several leadership roles across the organisation, such as head of supply & experts and claims proposition & change manager.
“I’m really pleased to welcome Graham to his role within commercial regions and I’m looking forward to the wide management expertise he will bring to the team, following his varied career at Allianz,” said Allianz Commercial chief distribution and regions officer Nick Hobbs.
Hobbs added that the Midlands and South West region is a critical area of business, and Stait’s appointment would help further Allianz’s existing connections and relationships in the market.
Earlier this month, Allianz Holdings named Laurence Townley as chief actuary for its UK business. Townley joined Allianz from Direct Line, where he served as director of financial risk for over a decade.
