Ageas UK has strengthened its distribution team with the appointment of Claire Green (pictured) as director of distribution.
The personal lines insurer looked internally for its latest appointment, as Green most recently served as Ageas UK’s head of strategic partnerships. She has been with the insurer for eight years. In her new role as director of distribution, Green will work alongside fellow director of distribution Darren Whittaker.
“I am delighted that we have been able to recruit for this role from within our talented team,” said Ageas UK chief distribution officer Adam Beckett. “Claire has already worked with many of our largest broker partners, and we know her experience will be of huge benefit to them in her new role.”
Beckett added that Green’s success record also includes creating relationships within the affinity and bancassurance space, which gives her “an enviably broad base of experience that [Ageas’s] partners will no doubt be keen to draw from.”
Last year, Ageas revealed that the strategy for its UK business would be to focus on personal lines insurance, electronically traded through intermediaries.
