Mark Collins and Robin Challand are being succeeded by Rashmi Rao (pictured above) and Stephen Linklater (pictured below) as Ageas UK chief information officer and claims director, respectively. The appointments at the personal lines insurer coincide with Collins and Challand moving into roles within the wider Ageas Group.
“I am delighted to join Ageas at this pivotal time in its journey to lead the digital transformation,” commented Rao when her arrival was publicised.
“I have been very impressed by the organisation’s customer focus; strong commitment to the results-driven business strategy; and the quality and calibre of the Ageas team. I look forward to working with the team to deliver on its ambitious transformation and growth agenda.”
Rao brings more than two and half decades of technology experience to Ageas UK, where she will be in charge of the company’s replatforming programme. Her credentials include senior technology leadership roles at Bupa, XL Insurance, and Ace Insurance.
Linklater, meanwhile, is an existing member of the executive team at Ageas UK, most recently serving as managing director for the commercial business unit – part of which was the company’s commercial lines business that was sold to AXA UK in 2022. The RSA and Hastings alumnus has been with Ageas since 2008.
“These appointments bring significant expertise and a fresh perspective to Ageas as we continue to transform our UK business,” said Ageas UK chief executive Ant Middle. “Both Rashmi and Stephen’s proven leadership abilities and reputation for delivery of transformative programmes make them very strong additions to our team.”
Effective from the beginning of 2023, the appointments are subject to regulatory approvals.
