Insurers can now cut claims cost with the help of a newly created company amid ongoing changes in the insurance and legal landscapes.
Advent Claims and The Clarke Partnership have launched Advent Law, an authorised alternative business structure firm that will enable insurers to gain a tighter grip on claims handling costs.
Advent Law will work alongside the claims departments of UK insurers. Specialist solicitors will assess all claims to eliminate potential issues that could later surface.
“Claims departments have become increasingly segmented. Advent Law provides an end-to-end solution that bridges the gaps,” said Advent Claims director Paul Bermingham.
“Having a holistic view across all claims affords insurers far greater control, while proactive legal input further neutralises potential issues. Both cut costs,” Bermingham said.
With adaptable processes, Advent Law also removes the need for insurers to invest in claims structures that may need to radically change over time.
“This is particularly timely as the industry and judiciary are raising concerns about incoming personal injury claim reforms,” said Scott Smeaton, partner, The Clarke Partnership.
