Adelaïde Group has posted a turnover of €450 million for 2024, marking a 12.5% increase from the previous year.
Its strategic plan aims to position the company as Europe’s leading independent family insurance broker with a turnover target of €800 million by 2028.
In 2024, the company made significant efforts in expanding its footprint across Europe with several key acquisitions. It acquired DUNE, an MGA specialising in construction insurance, broadening its distribution capabilities. It also purchased ProConseils Solutions in Switzerland, extending its presence in the market.
In Italy, Adelaïde Group strengthened its position with the acquisition of MBB and Brixia Broker, enhancing its territorial coverage through Inser, its subsidiary.
In terms of operational performance, Verlingue, the company’s primary business unit, achieved €314 million in turnover, a 10% increase from a year ago. The international segment now accounts for 37% of Verlingue’s revenue. Last month, it appointed Vincent Harel as chief executive officer.
Another division, Génération, a third-party administrator, reported 18% growth, reaching €121 million in turnover. It serves over 2.6 million health policyholders and 1.2 million life insurance policyholders.
The individual health insurance subsidiary, Cocoon, recorded €13 million in turnover, with 12,000 new contracts, primarily from individuals transitioning from group schemes. Additionally, DUNE, the newly acquired MGA, underwrote €10 million in premiums through a network of 650 brokers, highlighting its strategic importance.
In leadership changes, Benjamin Verlingue took over as chairman and CEO, succeeding Jacques Verlingue, a move that ensures continuity in the company’s strategic direction.
Looking ahead, the group plans to continue investing in digital transformation, improving operational efficiency, and growing its European presence as it works toward its strategic targets.
