Global fintech company Acrisure has announced a new leadership team for the Eleven Network, a UK-based retail insurance broking network. The appointments, including Jeff Hobson (pictured above) as CEO, are pending regulatory approval.
Mark McIlquham, CEO and Director of Acrisure’s UK business, highlighted the new leadership team’s dedication to clients and stakeholders, comprising industry professionals and strategic growth experts from the country’s most successful networks, leading brokers, key insurers, and premium finance partners.
“All told, the future is bright for Acrisure and Eleven as the new leadership team alongside existing talented staff expand the Network’s offering in the UK,” McIlquham said.
Simon Cooter has been appointed chair of the board. Cooter, who currently serves as director for Acrisure UK Retail, will also act as chair for the broking businesses.
Additionally, he holds the position of non-executive director at Acrisure Partner Sutton Winson. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance market, Cooter was most recently commercial lines and high net worth director at Covea Insurance.
Matt Dyer will serve as a director. Dyer was the founder of ITC Compliance, the largest Appointed Representative Network in the UK. His experience in growing a network and working with Appointed Representatives of various sizes is expected to enhance the services offered to current and future members of the Network.
Jeff Hobson takes on the role of CEO. Hobson’s recent role was as regional director for Burns & Wilcox, and prior to that, he led Chubb’s presence in Leeds. His extensive experience in broking, including his time as regional managing director at Willis, complements his roles at an MGA and insurer.

Shahram Shayesteh has been named deputy CEO. With over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, Shayesteh joined Acrisure and Eleven as chief risk officer in 2023. Previously, he served as head of compliance at an insurer.
Kat Cross will assume the role of CFO. Cross joined Acrisure in February 2024, following a 20-year tenure at Tysers, where she was CFO of the original firm and later became deputy CFO of the wider organization.
Chris Sedgley has been appointed broking director. Sedgley joined Eleven Network in February 2024, bringing over 23 years of industry experience. He began his career in personal lines with Endsleigh and was most recently managing director of Jones Taylor Steven Ltd, where the company saw 33% growth in 18 months under his leadership.
David Cunningham has been named head of member services. Cunningham has been with Acrisure for over a year, previously leading sales and oversight at Close Brothers for more than 25 years.
Russell Preece will serve as IT director. Preece is responsible for overseeing all IT and data-related functions and managing the Helpdesk, ensuring that business systems operate optimally to support Appointed Representatives and their clients.
