Marsh has appointed a new head of its UK aviation practice, the firm has revealed today.
Mark Costin, previously leader of Marsh’s UK aerospace team, will take up the role with immediate effect, continuing to be based in London.
In his role, Costin will be responsible for further developing the risk and insurance services and solutions for the UK and international clients managed by the broker’s London aviation hub.
Marsh UK & Ireland CEO, Mark Weil, described Costin as having a “strong track record of building strong relationships across the aviation industry,” adding that he has gained a “formidable reputation” for his understanding of the broad range of risk and insurance issues facing clients.
“This experience will be invaluable as we evolve our offering to ensure it meets our clients’ rapidly-evolving needs,” Weil added.
Marsh also revealed that Oyin Heath will take over as leader of the UK aerospace team, where she was previously deputy leader. Heath will be based in London and will report into Costin.
Speaking of his appointment, Costin commented: “With companies across the aviation sector facing a range of challenges from safety to sustainability as well as the consequences of Brexit, I am excited to be leading the Marsh team in London as we serve clients from around the world.”
Of Oyin, he added: “With over 20 years of experience serving clients across the entire range of the global aviation and aerospace market, I am delighted that Oyin will succeed me as our UK Aerospace leader. Her appointment shows the depth of talent we have available in Marsh’s Global Aviation & Aerospace Practice.”]
