Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has announced its acquisition of One Claim Limited, an Essex-based claims management provider.

One Claim supports broker partners and clients through the claims process, from initial notification to settlement. Following the acquisition, the One Claim team will join SRG’s managing general agent (MGA) division, MX.

SRG notes that the addition of One Claim brings substantial expertise in the motor fleet sector to the company, enhancing its existing motor fleet capabilities in underwriting, wholesale, and retail broking. This includes motor fleet services offered by Capulus, an MGA SRG acquired in October 2024.

SRG’s motor fleet resources also include a significant motor fleet broking team within its UK Wholesale business, Miles Smith, and a large fleet book managed by its retail branch, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions.

Lee Anderson, group deputy CEO of SRG, described One Claim as a valuable addition to the group’s expanding MGA division, MX.

“The Capulus and One Claim teams perfectly complement each other and they will continue to work closely together to support their broker partners and their clients,” Anderson said.

Kevin Smith, director of One Claim Limited, expressed anticipation for joining SRG, noting the company’s strong reputation and alignment with the Capulus team.

“We are proud of the business that we’ve built and of our team that delivers an outstanding service to our clients,” Smith said. “In recent years we have seen a significant reduction in the average cost per claim for our clients, delivered by a team of deeply specialist claims professionals. We are excited for the future as part of MX and the wider SRG business.”

Elsewhere, SRG also recently announced its acquisition of Stonehatch, a specialist broker in bloodstock and livestock insurance.

Founded by Chris Williamson in 2014, Stonehatch has developed a presence in the bloodstock and livestock sectors, offering insurance solutions to clients and broker partners worldwide.
