Solus, a subsidiary of Aviva, is set to launch three new vehicle repair centres in Sheffield, Sunderland, and Exeter this year. Additionally, Solus will relocate its current Luton site to a new facility in Dunstable.

The expansion is expected to create around 90 jobs, including positions for vehicle technicians, consultants, and customer care representatives, while enhancing Solus’s existing UK repair centres network.

According to Solus, the development aligns with Aviva’s strategy to support its motor insurance customers by increasing the number of motor claims managed from start to finish. The new sites will also be equipped with solar panels and the latest vehicle technology.

Solus, which handles over a third of Aviva’s motor damage claims, will have 24 centres in the country once the new sites are opened. Recent additions to the network include a facility in Newport, South Wales.

Simon Smith, managing director at Solus, noted: “Earlier in the year, we outlined our growth plans to expand the number of Solus sites, complemented by our network of approved repairers across the UK.

“Together we can continue delivering great outcomes for our customers, helping them to get back behind the wheel as quickly and as safely as possible.”
