Managing general agent ARAG has become the new breakdown assistance provider for the equine, rural taxi, and wedding hire customers of SEIB Insurance Brokers.
“We’ve listened to the feedback our customers have provided and made the decision to use ARAG as our motor breakdown provider,” said SEIB motor & commercial manager Paul Wilson (pictured left) in an emailed release.
“We’re really impressed with the value-add services they can provide, particularly for our equestrian customers, and we’re confident that this will improve the breakdown experience on our specialist motor policies.”
Insurance Business understands SEIB was previously partnered with RAC.
Wilson added: “ARAG has been very flexible in shaping different covers to suit the specific demands that some of our niche markets create.
“Motor breakdown assistance is an important and sometimes challenging product to deliver, but ARAG has used the company’s experience to develop products that help differentiate SEIB in our markets and enhance our proposition to clients.”
ARAG, which has an extensive nationwide network of independent recovery operators, was described by SEIB as “a natural fit” for the broker’s comprehensive motor breakdown proposition. SEIB chief executive Suzy Middleton highlighted ARAG’s specialist equine support team and the MGA’s expertise in solutions for private hire businesses like rural taxis and wedding hire.
“We have built up our relationships with our equine and specialist motor customers over many years, and we know that they need an efficient service to get them recovered and to their destination – whether it be a wedding or a showjumping competition – as swiftly as possible,” noted the CEO.
“ARAG specialises in niche breakdown solutions, so we know we can truly get the breakdown cover our customers need out to them when they need it, through this move.”
Meanwhile ARAG UK sales manager Matt Warren (pictured right) also had nothing but nice words for the brokerage.
“We’ve worked hard to build up the capabilities and a reputation among brokers as a specialist for specialists,” declared Warren. “It’s about tailoring not just the cover but also the claims service, to deliver products that truly meet our brokers’ clients’ needs.
“SEIB obviously has a great reputation itself, so we’re delighted that such an award-winning company has entrusted us with this important business and to be extending our partnership with the broker.”
