Kingfisher Insurance has unveiled an exclusive partnership between its classic vehicle insurance brand Peter James Insurance and the Royal Enfield Owners Club. The collaboration introduces the ‘Royal Enfield Owners Club Insurance’ scheme, tailored specifically for the club’s members.

The Royal Enfield Owners Club, established in 1977, is dedicated to fans and owners of Royal Enfield motorcycles, ranging from the vintage models of the 1920s to today’s modern bikes. With branches spread across the UK, the club is active in hosting and attending events, maintaining archives, and publishing a bi-monthly members’ magazine.

Kingfisher Insurance said the new scheme was developed in close collaboration with the club’s leadership and members, ensuring the policy benefits align with the needs of enthusiasts who cherish both vintage and contemporary Royal Enfield models.

The new scheme offers a range of benefits, including exclusive rates for club members, insurance for both classic and modern Royal Enfields, member-to-member cover, free agreed value and salvage retention, breakdown cover for the UK and the European Union, coverage for tools and spare parts up to £3,000, free helmet and leathers cover, self-repair option and multi-vehicle policy options, discounts for limited mileage, and legal expenses cover.

Throughout 2024, Kingfisher’s Peter James Insurance has formed several strategic partnerships with classic vehicle clubs, including The Kettle Club, Midget and Sprite Club, Morgan Sports Car Club, and Ariel Owners Club.

“Peter James has been at the heart of the historic motorcycle movement throughout our history, so it is fantastic to be able to partner with the Royal Enfield Owners Club,” commented Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James Insurance.

“As a club with a continuity of marque, we have collaborated closely to create an insurance product that delivers for these specialist vehicles, whether it’s preserving the vintage versions from the 1920s and 1930s or supporting the enthusiasm of riders of the modern models.”

Bob Murdoch, chair of the Royal Enfield Owners Club, shared similar sentiments: “We’re very excited to launch Royal Enfield Owners Club Insurance with Peter James and know that the scheme not only adds further value to our club membership but provides key support for the club too.”
