Kingfisher Insurance has unveiled a partnership with the Morgan Sports Car Club, offering a new insurance scheme through its classic vehicle insurance arm, Peter James Insurance, exclusively for Morgan sports car owners.
The arrangement comes in response to the niche insurance requirements posed by Morgan vehicles, which, despite their modernity, demand the comprehensive protection typically associated with specialist classic car insurance.
The collaboration between Peter James Insurance and the Morgan Sports Car Club has led to the creation of a custom insurance package that addresses the diverse needs of Morgan car owners, irrespective of the vehicle's age.
As a result of this partnership, members of the Morgan Sports Car Club will gain access to a suite of bespoke insurance features aimed at ensuring the continued preservation and enjoyment of both vintage and modern examples of Morgan automobiles.
Among the benefits now available to club members are:
Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James Insurance, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.
“The team at Peter James Insurance are excited to be working with the Morgan Sports Car Club. Their community has vehicles that are part of the fabric of British motoring heritage, so it’s a privilege to work closely with the club and its members to create an insurance product that will help to preserve a healthy future for both the club and Morgan sports cars for generations to come,” Young said.
Echoing this sentiment, Jann Robinson, vice-chairman of the Morgan Sports Car Club, highlighted the importance of heritage and the role of insurance in its preservation.
“Heritage is an important part of what we do and the team at Peter James Insurance are fellow enthusiasts who understand the vital part insurance has to play in preservation. As a club that has a calendar packed full of activities such as touring through our travel club and car shows, it’s vital that our members have competitive insurance cover that suits their needs and provides the peace of mind that enables them to enjoy their Morgans and the club to the maximum,” Robinson said.
This partnership with the Morgan Sports Car Club follows the launch of its exclusive club partnership schemes, formed with two MG enthusiast clubs – the MG Octagon Car Club and the Midget and Sprite Club (MASC).
