Kingfisher Insurance has introduced a new partnership between its specialist vehicle brand, Peter James Insurance, and the Austin Healey Club, offering a tailored insurance scheme for owners of Austin Healey, Warwick Healey and Jensen Healey models.

The scheme is the latest in a series of club-focused insurance offerings from Peter James Insurance. Similar arrangements are already in place with organisations including the MG Car Club, Vintage Sports Car Club, Morgan Sports Car Club and Royal Enfield Owners Club.

The Austin Healey Club operates a network of regional centres and provides members with access to meetings, events and its monthly publication RevCounter. The club is focused on promoting the use and preservation of the Healey marque and its variants.

The partnership offers insurance features specifically structured around the needs of club members. These include exclusive member rates, cover for multiple vehicles, options for younger drivers, agreed value cover, salvage retention, and breakdown assistance in the UK and Europe. Other elements include limited mileage discounts, cover for tools and spare parts, legal expenses and provisions for self-repair and laid-up vehicles. Terms are subject to underwriting criteria.

Rob Hudson, Southwest Centre director at the Austin Healey Club, said the partnership offers a new benefit to members and may help attract new joiners. He added that the scheme addresses challenges faced by younger owners in obtaining affordable cover.

Meanwhile, Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James Insurance, said the insurer had worked with the club to create a policy designed to support members’ use of their vehicles and the continuation of the marque.

The launch comes as Kingfisher Insurance continues to expand its engagement with the classic vehicle and motorsport sectors. Recent initiatives include its renewed sponsorship of historic rally events such as the Generations Rally and the Suffolk Cloverleaf, as well as new insurance schemes for niche clubs like the British Two Stroke Club. The broker has also extended its collaboration with the British Motor Museum and signed on as the official insurance partner for the 2025 Canford Classic & Supercar Sunday.

Kingfisher Insurance operates a portfolio of specialist brands, including Peter James Insurance. Its product range covers areas such as motor trade, motorsport, non-standard home, classic vehicles, private clients and specialist commercial risks. The broker focuses on tailored products delivered through a traditional advisory model.
