Kingfisher Insurance has formed a strategic partnership with the 2CVGB Club through its classic vehicle insurance arm, Peter James Insurance, introducing a tailored insurance scheme for owners of Citroën A-Series vehicles.
This new offering from Kingfisher Insurance aligns with its strategy of delivering personalised, bespoke insurance products. This year, it also launched specialised schemes for various clubs, including the Kettle Club, Midget and Sprite Club, MG Octagon Car Club, and Morgan Sports Car Club.
Founded in 1978, the 2CVGB Club is dedicated to preserving historic A-Series cars in the UK, focusing on activities such as sharing technical knowledge, archiving, maintaining vehicle registers, and ensuring the availability of increasingly rare spare parts.
Peter James Insurance focuses its expertise on classic and vintage vehicle insurance, and its involvement in the classic vehicle community enhances its capability to address the specific needs of membership-based organisations, ensuring that club activities and members' needs are adequately funded, and that membership offers genuine value.
Members of the 2CVGB Club will now enjoy several exclusive benefits under the new scheme. These include exclusive rates for club members, free agreed value, free salvage retention, and free Member to Member cover, which allows them to drive another club member’s classic Citroën under comprehensive coverage.
Additionally, the scheme offers coverage for young enthusiasts, UK and European breakdown cover, tools and spare parts cover, a self-repair option, and legal expenses cover.
Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James Insurance, shared his enthusiasm about the new scheme and the value it offers for classic car owners.
“It’s been an incredibly exciting past few months working with 2CVGB to create a new club insurance scheme specifically designed for their members. These features are specifically designed to support the future preservation and enjoyment of these cars that as we all know, are as brimming with personality as their owners are,” Youngs said.
Calvin Bradley, secretary of 2CVGB, also commented on the partnership and the peace of mind it will bring to historic A-Series car owners in the UK.
“Our new partnership with Peter James Insurance will offer our members unique benefits for their membership of 2CVGB by creating an insurance scheme tailored to their needs that you can’t find elsewhere. We are an active and sociable club, and so this allows our members to enjoy their 2CVs with the peace of mind of knowing that their cars are protected thanks to 2CVGB Insurance,” Bradley said.
