Kingfisher Insurance has announced several major sponsorships through its specialist brands, REIS Motorsport Insurance and Classic Insurance Services. These partnerships encompass a range of motorsport events, highlighting Kingfisher’s commitment to the sector.
One of the broker’s recent announcements named REIS Motorsport Insurance as an official partner of the ROKiT British F4 Championship for the 2024 season. This FIA-affiliated event aims to nurture young talents in single-seater racing, positioning them for potential entry into the F1 circuit.
Simultaneously, REIS is set to be a headline sponsor at the 2024 Motorsport UK English Rally Championship and the 2024 BTRDA Targa Rally Championship. Both partnerships will see Kingfisher’s motorsport brand supporting rallying in the UK and fostering partnerships with Motorsport UK and BTRDA.
Mark Taylor, head of motorsports at REIS, commented on the upcoming partnerships in an emailed news release.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for REIS,” he said. “Our team are first and foremost motorsports enthusiasts, so it is great to provide support first-hand to the young drivers who are competing for the coveted F4 title.”
Taylor also noted in his statement that REIS will soon be providing tailored insurance offerings to motorsport clubs affiliated with Motorsport UK, enhancing its standing in the industry.
In a separate announcement, Kingfisher revealed that its private client insurance brand, Classic Insurance Services, will be sponsoring the 2024 Generations Rally in collaboration with Rally the Globe (RtG).
The Generations Rally, scheduled for March 22 – 24, features a route that starts in Cheshire and crosses into Wales while showcasing the scenery of the Clywdian and Cambrian mountains.
Mark Appleton, RtG COO and clerk of the course, expressed delight at having Classic Insurance Services on board, highlighting how both organisations share a commitment to preserving and promoting the use of vintage and classic cars.
“They share RtG’s founding ethos of preserving and promoting the use of vintage and classic cars both right now, and into the future,” he said. “Like us, they take pride in delivering a far-reaching, class-leading professional service without forgetting about the friendly and personal touches that make all the difference.”
Carole Pearson, head of Classic Insurance Services, added: “We understand the excitement and thrill that can come from historic rallying and as a leading private client insurer we are dedicated to the protection (and enjoyment!) of fantastic vehicles – values that we know are shared with the Generations Rally team and participants.”
Classic Insurance Services focuses on preserving and protecting vehicles, from single high-value cars to extensive collections. Its sponsorship of the Generations Rally aligns with the brand’s dedication to safeguarding unique pieces of automotive history for future generations.
