Airside liability of up to £500,000, as well as an approved repairer service and a courtesy car facility… these are just some of the features of Kerry London’s new product, which was developed exclusively with Zurich Municipal.
Designed to cater to private ambulance operators with the inclusion of blue light cover, the fresh offering also provides an uninsured loss recovery service, free round-the-clock accident recovery service if the vehicle is undriveable, and cover which extends to European Union countries.
The product is underwritten by public sector insurance provider Zurich Municipal, and supported by a call centre for claims based in the UK.
“We’ve offered insurance for private ambulance providers for many years now, but those products have never previously had the advantage of being structured by true industry experts,” commented Imogen Coggan, chief executive at the Lloyd’s broker. “We’re delighted that Zurich Municipal has chosen Kerry London to partner with, to develop and launch a product that uses their years of experience providing public sector insurance and offer cover that’s specifically designed for the sector.”
Meanwhile Zurich Municipal head of charities and health organisations Gordon Wilmott described the partnership as an “exciting step” for the business. He cited Zurich Municipal’s long history of providing cover for the public sector and its expertise in insuring the NHS and its fleet of ambulances.
“We’ve taken this knowledge and built a product for private ambulance operators, in conjunction with Kerry London, that offers the perfect level of cover and service excellence they need,” said Wilmott.
