Direct Commercial Limited (DCL), a specialist provider in the commercial motor space, has announced the launch of a new broker portal aimed at streamlining access to its services.
The newly launched portal was designed to enhance efficiency and policy servicing, the managing general agent (MGA) said in an emailed news release. Among its key features is a claims progress tracker, which has customisable filters that allow for specific updates and insights based on criteria such as driver information or claims type.
DCL will also continue its development of the portal by introducing additional features to help brokers manage their clients’ policies. These include plans to provide brokers with the ability to administer vehicle adjustments and access a centralised document repository.
This expansion will be implemented in phases to incorporate feedback from brokers, according to Adam Marsh, who heads the agency and development team at the MGA.
“Listening to brokers' needs is central to this initiative,” said Marsh. “The portal's phased development is aligned with their feedback, with the portal designed to offer comprehensive accessibility, enabling efficient administration and quick access to data insights.”
In addition to introducing innovative new features, DCL’s broker portal maintains core aspects of its interaction with brokers on claims, including the quarterly claims review. These meetings provide a platform for Direct Commercial, brokers, and policyholders to discuss claim handling procedures and explore strategies to mitigate costs.
“Integrating our new portal is the latest step in our continued response to enhance services for brokers with digital solutions; having launched a new policy earlier in the year, Connect, which supports policyholders already invested in CCTV,” Marsh said.
Earlier this year, DCL announced the appointment of Joe Hantson as deputy chief executive. He joined the company from Amwins Global Risks.
