UK broker Coversure Insurance Services has announced the opening of its third new office in a year, a move that sees the firm continue to buck the trend for regional office closures.
Coversure revealed yesterday that it would be returning to the Scottish market with the opening of a new franchise in Falkirk, having been without a presence in Scotland since 2004.

Coversure Falkirk will be run by Graham Lilley, who brings more than 20 years experience in the insurance industry, having previously worked for Lloyds of London, Giles Insurance Brokers and Westinsure.
Lilley has expertise in a number of areas of insurance, from broking and underwriting to claims and agent management, Coversure said, adding that his “wealth of knowledge will allow him to offer local businesses and residents an exceptional level of service.”
The latest office is the third opening for Coversure in 12 months, following new additions in Crawley and Leeds, and the broker told Insurance Business that it has two further openings planned for later this year.
While many brokers are retreating from the high street, Coversure said it sees the area as having potential for continued growth.
“For Coversure it’s not just about the physical high-street presence; it’s more about customer service,” managing director Sarah Darling told Insurance Business.
“Some of our offices are based on industrial estates, within serviced office suites or in mixed usage locations. What’s important is having a place that the customer can go to and see someone should they wish to do so.”
The business increasingly offers an omnichannel proposition, which allows customers to interact in whichever way they choose, the MD went on to say.
“This could be by physically coming to see us, speaking to us over the phone or online,” she said. “It’s a blended service offering that is clearly popular, given we have been able to buck the market and achieve sustained organic office growth.
“Our offices have both insurance knowledge and a deep understanding of the local area’s needs. They allow people to get to know their broker personally and build a really good relationship with them.”
