Motorhome and campervan specialist Comfort Insurance has partnered with ARAG to enhance its breakdown cover services.
These updated insurance products now offer higher indemnity limits for overnight stays in both the UK and Europe, as well as an expanded annual claim limit that accommodates up to six incidents, reaching a ceiling of £10,000.
Comfort noted the adjustment is intended to align with the increased costs associated with the recovery of campervans and motorhomes. An additional benefit up to £150 is also now available to assist with travel expenses for drivers returning to their vehicles post-repair.
As part of the changes, legal expenses insurance provider ARAG will now administer Comfort Legal Protection, which is embedded in Comfort’s motorhome and campervan policies. This inclusion aims to provide legal support and advice in cases of accidents, motor prosecutions, or contractual disputes concerning the insured vehicle.
Ben Cue, general manager and director of operations at Comfort Insurance, commented on the updated offerings and its value to the firm’s clients.
“We’ve talked to our policyholders and looked very closely at what they need from a motor breakdown product. The team at ARAG has really taken all of that on board and worked with us to build a solution that covers all the bases,” Cue said.
Cue also noted the focus on improving service delivery, particularly for incidents that occur abroad, which tend to be more challenging.
“ARAG has become known as a specialist for specialists, and Comfort Insurance is a great example of an insurance brand that really knows its niche and strives to deliver the absolute best products available,” Matt Warren, sales manager at ARAG, said.
Warren also expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with Comfort Insurance to enhance its market offerings and support its clientele.
These revamped emergency assistance products are accessible to holders of Comfort’s Motorhome Insurance and Campervan Insurance starting from April.
Earlier this year, Düsseldorf-headquartered ARAG also announced the completion of its acquisition of legal protection insurance business DAS UK from ERGO Versicherung AG.
