Clegg Gifford, a Lloyd’s of London broker, has launched a new digital platform aimed at improving the motor trade insurance process for brokers.
The broker has been serving the insurance industry for over 40 years. Developed in partnership with digital agency MagiClick, the self-service portal enables brokers to quote and bind motor trade policies.
The newly launched platform provides brokers with the ability to generate quotes and bind policies quickly, reducing administrative tasks and enhancing efficiency. The portal also offers policyholders access to a self-service Motor Insurance Database (MID), allowing them to independently manage vehicle and trade plate updates.
In addition to benefiting brokers, the platform aims to improve operational efficiency for its network of broker partners by offering an end-to-end digital experience. This shift towards automation is expected to reduce back-office work.
Toby Clegg, CEO of Clegg Gifford, highlighted the importance of innovation in the company’s strategy. “This platform reflects our continued investment in digital innovation and broker experience,” he said. “We’ve worked closely with MagiClick to deliver a modern digital experience that addresses the real-world needs of both brokers and customers—making motor trade policy management quicker, easier, and more intuitive.”
Mark Lusted (pictured), CEO of MagiClick UK, commented on the collaboration: “This project represents another milestone in MagiClick’s mission to drive digital transformation in the insurance sector.
“Delivering a self-service Motor Trade product at this scale and speed is a great example of what can be achieved when client vision and digital expertise come together.”
