Brightside Group has again partnered with Slater and Gordon, which has been providing claims management to the Bristol-based insurance broker since 2015.

The major contract extension means the national law firm will continue to bring hire, repair, and injury expertise to the enterprise now led by Brendan McCafferty. Under the new agreement, claims will be handled predominantly in Slater and Gordon’s motor division in Blackpool.

“This contract win is recognition of the exceptionally high standard and unrivalled range of services we offer to consumers involved in a road traffic accident,” commented chief executive David Whitmore (pictured), whose company previously announced a £30 million investment programme to broaden and digitise its offerings.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to build up end-to-end capability that ensures the best outcome for customers in need of hire, repair, and injury services, while remaining commercially competitive.”

The fresh contract runs for half a decade.

“We carried out a comprehensive tender and due diligence process and concluded that Slater and Gordon’s breadth and quality of accident management services offered the best offering for our customers,” noted Russell Bence, broking managing director at Brightside.

“We already have an excellent relationship with Slater and Gordon, having worked with them over the past three years, so know they are able to provide first-rate customer service and expertise. We look forward to the next five years.”
