I have been part of the Markel UK family since February 2006, with my most recent role as Head of Financial Lines Sector Sales.

Having joined Markel as an Underwriter I looked after the Professional Indemnity, Life Sciences and Management Liability products, writing both new business and renewals business for our South, South East, South West and London broker agency base. Over the last 15 years my role has evolved through Development Underwriter, Senior Development Underwriter, London Branch Manager to South Regional Manager.

In my current role as Head of Financial Lines Sector Sales I am responsible for the new business underwriting team looking after our Technology insurance products in addition to our Professional & Management Risks portfolio.

Markel UK has recently been rated five stars by brokers in the Insurance Times five-star rating report for the third year running and received the maximum rating across all service areas, including underwriting – something I’m extremely proud to have been a part of.
