Rokstone, the international (re)insurance managing general agent (MGA) of the Aventum Group, has entered into a five-year capacity arrangement with Allianz Commercial. The partnership, facilitated through Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), is designed to extend their existing relationship and broaden Allianz’s footprint across multiple commercial insurance lines.
This agreement follows a series of successful capacity deals between the two companies over the past four years, which have covered various sectors including marine, aviation, property, and alternative risk transfer. A news release noted that both companies have now committed to collaborating on developing existing programs and creating new opportunities, with an emphasis on specialty lines such as natural resources, construction, and marine.
“We are thrilled to make this announcement today. We’ve enjoyed a long and successful collaboration with Allianz,” said Ian Anson, global CEO of Rokstone. “Specialty underwriting, agility, and technological disruption are at the heart of our culture, whilst Allianz is unquestionably one of the finest insurance brands in the world with market-leading ratings, global reach, and deep underwriting expertise. I strongly believe that the strengths of our organizations complement each other and will benefit both parties greatly.”
“With the extension of our collaboration with Rokstone, we want to underline our commitment to targeted expansion in commercial and specialty insurance on a global level,” said Vanessa Maxwell, chief underwriting officer at Allianz Commercial. “We are pleased to be working with such a capable partner as Rokstone to deliver exceptional service to our clients worldwide.”
Rokstone underwrites US$1.1 billion in gross written premium (GWP) across a broad range of specialty lines, including property, casualty, power generation, marine, aviation, warranty, credit and surety treaty, agriculture, construction and engineering, accident and health, and liability.
