Michael Harrow was appointed Head of Corporate at Lockton New Zealand in April 2024, bringing with him over 28 years of extensive experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Lockton, Michael held significant leadership roles, notably at ICIB, where he successfully oversaw the remediation and rebuilding of its Auckland branch. His strategic initiatives included developing robust business and people plans that aligned with company strategy, facilitating the integration of BrokerWeb and ICIB post-merger in late 2022.
Michael's career spans 22 years at Aon, where he held senior positions such as Executive Director for large corporate and listed organisations, focusing on designing and placing multinational insurance programmes across the APAC region and London markets. He also served as National Manager for Aon’s Client Placement Facility (CPF), overseeing multi-line insurance portfolios across commercial, rural, and personal lines.
At ICIB BrokerWeb, Michael navigated challenges during the Auckland branch's transitional phase, addressing high turnover and ensuring continuity of client service. His leadership fostered a supportive environment that enhanced team cohesion and client retention.
