Reinsurance technology platform Supercede has named Deeva Chamdal (pictured above) as its new technical reinsurance consultant.
Based in London, Chamdal will report to Jess McCausland, Supercede’s head of client success.
Chamdal’s role will involve close engagement with both prospective and existing clients, focusing on understanding their needs and applying her technical skills to support them in using Supercede’s platform.
Additionally, Chamdal will provide a feedback channel from customers to Supercede’s product development team to help shape future platform updates.
Chamdal previously worked at Liberty Specialty Markets for three years as a reinsurance asset handler and before that served as a reinsurance technician at Neon.
Supercede’s chief commercial officer, Tom Spier, said that the company is currently in a growth phase, continued by this team expansion.
“Supercede is experiencing exciting growth, with the team energized by our successful £15 million Series A funding round in June. To deliver on this investment we are strategically hiring across all parts of the business as we further our mission to transform reinsurance,” he said.
In August, Supercede also announced the appointment of Sarah Pearson as its first senior operations manager.
Pearson, who previously worked at carbon data specialist SparkChange, will begin her new role immediately, reporting to Supercede’s co-founder and president, Ben Rose.
Prior to joining Supercede, Pearson served as chief of staff at SparkChange, a position she held since 2020. She also has experience with IT business Global Switch and carbon emissions specialist C2Zero.
“With strong management skills honed across a range of industries, her steady hand is exactly what we need to guide us into and beyond this next exciting stage of our journey. Sarah will be a central force in binding us together as we continue on our ambitious but necessary mission of reshaping the reinsurance industry,” Rose said.
