Everest Reinsurance has promoted Shirine Dajjani (pictured right) to the position of international reinsurance operating officer.

In this role, Dajjani will oversee the alignment of Everest's international reinsurance operations across various global markets. The company announced that the promotion highlights her ongoing contributions to Everest.

Dajjani, who has been with Everest for over three years, previously served as regional manager. She joined Everest in September 2021 and has since played a key role in managing the company’s reinsurance portfolio.

Her experience in the industry spans over 15 years, including roles at MS Amlin, where she worked as an underwriter and actuarial analyst for more than nine years.

Before joining Everest, Dajjani held actuarial positions at Flagstone Reassurance Suisse and Island Heritage, bringing a strong background in pricing and actuarial analysis. She holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from the Université de Montréal.

In her new position, Dajjani will continue to work out of Zurich, Switzerland, where she has been based throughout her career at Everest and previous employers.

In a LinkedIn post, Everest Reinsurance expressed confidence in her leadership to drive operational efficiency across its international reinsurance markets.

Earlier this year, Everest Group also promoted Andrew McBride to the role of group chief claims officer. The company also announced the appointment of Lope Garcia as global reinsurance chief claims officer for its reinsurance division.

McBride will lead claims across Everest’s insurance and reinsurance divisions, working closely with the underwriter’s global leaders to drive claims excellence and superior service.

In July, the global re/insurance group also announced the promotion of Harry Townsend to chief ceded reinsurance officer.

Townsend joined Everest in January as head of ceded reinsurance, International. He came from Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he most recently served as global reinsurance casualty division manager.
