Fidelity Life has appointed Bronwyn Kirwan (pictured) as its new chief sales and service officer, effective August 09. She will report to Melissa Cantell, the insurer’s chief executive.
According to Cantell, Kirwan’s appointment is a crucial one as the company continues its customer-led transformation. The hire comes right on the heels of Fidelity Life’s acquisition of Westpac Life and new strategic alliance with Westpac NZ.
“Bronwyn’s deep insurance experience and technology credentials will be invaluable as our plans to diversify our channel mix and reach even more New Zealanders develop,” Cantell said in a statement.
“As well as ensuring we keep delivering an exceptional experience to advisers, partners and customers, she’ll be leading our new strategic alliance with Westpac NZ.”
Kirwan was most recently head of iptiQ ANZ, the digital insurance arm of Swiss Re, based in Sydney. She began her career as a financial adviser, later holding leadership roles in distribution and market strategy with Zurich International and Swiss Re in the UK, Europe and Australia. She also became CEO of financial adviser network SHARE in New Zealand in 2008.
