In the wake of construction firm Arrow International going into voluntary administration, Southern Response issued a statement assuring customers that their earthquake claims will not be affected.
The New Zealand Herald reported earlier this week that Arrow, one of New Zealand’s largest builders, had gone into voluntary administration after a contractual dispute left it with insufficient cashflow to meet operating costs. “This is not the outcome we wanted or expected, but in light of a recent adjudicator’s decision, we had no choice but to take this course of action,” Arrow’s board said in a statement.
Arrow is Southern Response’s Canterbury Earthquake Project Partner and the government-owned enterprise works closely with Arrow staff to deliver project management services for claimants of the Canterbury earthquakes. Despite Arrow going into administration, however, Southern Response does not anticipate any impact on service delivery.
“We will work with the administrators to ensure we can provide the same service to our clients as we currently are alongside the existing Arrow team, so it is business as usual for us and our customers,” said Southern Response in a statement. “We do not anticipate that this will result in any delays or other notable changes for our customers.”
