About BrokerWeb Risk Services
BrokerWeb Risk Services (BWRS) is a New Zealand insurance brokerage with a nationwide presence across six offices. Its head office is currently in Auckland.
BWRS has been operating in the New Zealand market since 2006. AUB Group acquired 50% of BWRS in 2014 and purchased the remaining 50% in February 2019, bringing it fully into its ‘partnership model’ which had been operating successfully in Australia for many years.
BWRS acts for some of New Zealand’s biggest businesses, and has access to both domestic and overseas insurance products. Its insurance services include sourcing policies for the corporate, rural, personal and life and health spaces, as well as various specialist trades. It also deals with cyber and marine insurance.
BWRS purchased 100% of the goodwill and assets of Lowe Schollum & Jones, a Hamilton-based insurance brokerage, in 2017.
It uses Standard & Poors and AM Best insurer financial strength ratings to ensure the security of the insurers it deals with, and its minimum rating is an S&P A- (Strong) or an AM Best A- (Excellent).
