Tony Gallo
Victor Canada (Victor Insurance Managers Inc.)

As an Underwriting Specialist and Vice-President, Tony Gallo is responsible for driving underwriting production in Victor Canada’s Directors and Officers Liability (D&O) department. Reporting to the Department leader, Tony leads the generation of large business opportunities and executes on industry-specific marketing, distribution, product development and risk management strategies. 

Tony is an integral part of Victor Canada’s D&O team and was recently promoted from Senior Underwriter to Underwriting Specialist. In 2020, he was selected for a CEO Award due to his many contributions to Victor’s growth and for his ability to find creative and sustainable solutions for brokers and their clients. 

Tony has become a subject matter expert in specialized underwriting, most notably in his work on emerging industries such as cannabis, and he is heavily involved in a number of internal committees that help to drive Victor’s business development and broker relationships across Canada. 

Tony is an outstanding individual and insurance professional. Tony’s leadership qualities, energy and enthusiasm have been clearly demonstrated as he has advanced upwards at Victor Canada. He readily shares his knowledge with his fellow underwriters and the brokers with whom he deals. Internally, Tony has also become a valued resource for his underwriting colleagues, sharing his knowledge and supporting their efforts to grow their capabilities. Externally, he is frequently sought out by brokers across the country on technical placements requiring creative thought and timely responses.

Tony is an ethical and service-oriented underwriter who recognizes the importance of continual improvement through his studies and taking on new challenges. 

Tony is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
