Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) has announced the promotion of Ian DeSouza to vice president of development and quality assurance (QA).
DeSouza has been with ISI since 2009, where he has played a key role in advancing the company’s development and QA functions. In his new position, he will continue to lead the development and QA teams while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and services.
“Ian’s contributions have played a tremendous part in our company’s success already,” said Casey Kretz, president and CEO of ISI. “His leadership and unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and leading our talented technical team have been integral to our continued growth, and while this new role is partly in recognition of his outstanding work and growing expertise at ISI, it’s also about the fact that he keeps his eyes open for opportunities to innovate.”
DeSouza will continue to report directly to the CEO. He will also focus on shaping the company’s technical strategies and overseeing the product roadmap. His work will include managing the development of ISI Enterprise, the company’s core administration platform for insurance operations, which integrates policy, billing, claims, accounting, and reinsurance functions.
“Taking on this new role means I can continue to work with this talented team,” said DeSouza. “ISI and ISI Enterprise have enormous opportunities ahead. Pushing innovation into our products and the industry is a passion for me and it’s part of how I intend to ensure we consistently over-deliver for our customers.”
Founded in 1997 and based in Toronto, Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) develops software solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry. The company’s flagship product, ISI Enterprise, offers core administration capabilities, including policy, billing, claims, accounting, and reinsurance functionalities. ISI serves a range of small to mid-size commercial and personal liability insurers.
