After the success of its first eLearning program for brokers, the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has announced new courses planned for this year.
The association’s first eLearning course on cybersecurity – launched last December – drew a huge response, with more than 450 registered users. CSIO designed the course in response to broker feedback requesting more resources on how to deal with cybersecurity threats.
A release has revealed that the next two courses for 2019 will focus on digital marketing and emerging technology. The programs will help CSIO members “sift through all the noise to really understand what they need to know to increase their digital competencies.”
“One of the most important ways we can support the industry is to help brokers expand their digital skillset,” commented CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola. “The eLearning program is an opportunity to expand on our established webinar series, to provide brokers with valuable knowledge in a convenient, interactive format.”
Smola noted that the courses have been designed in a way so that brokers can learn whenever they have the time.
“We know that brokers are busy and need training that fits within their schedules: our accredited eLearning program builds brokers’ confidence that they have the digital skills and expertise that customers expect,” she explained.
