Digital insurance provider APOLLO Insurance has joined forces with real estate company Dream Unlimited Corp. to deliver instant digital insurance solutions tailored for tenants nationwide.
“APOLLO and Dream share the common goal of making it easier for residents to access tenant insurance,” APOLLO founder and chief executive Jeff McCann said. “Dream works hard to provide their residents with an exceptional rental experience, and this partnership will only enhance that.”
The tie-up aims to enable Dream to maintain its focus on creating outstanding homes while ensuring residents can affordably and easily secure coverage.
Hero Mohtadi, vice president of residential operations and asset management at Dream, commented: “Dream is excited about this partnership with APOLLO, a company that recognizes our vision of sustainable affordability.
“With their intuitive platform, our residents will have a convenient way to obtain comprehensive insurance policies, and our property managers will have an easier time tracking resident insurance compliance.”
Since 2019, APOLLO has collaborated with REITs, property management firms, proptech firms, and other entities to integrate insurance products into their workflows. For property managers, this means the insurance purchasing process is seamlessly embedded into leasing and renewal procedures.
The partnership with Dream comes on the heels of APOLLO’s launch of its buy-now-pay-later subsidiary FinShore.
“Establishing FinShore is an innovative step forward for APOLLO, and will do much to make the lives of Canadian renters easier,” McCann noted in June. “In this economic climate, particularly with the rise of renting across Canada, consumers are looking for flexibility in their payment options.”
Aside from customers gaining access to a buy-now-pay-later option for their insurance premiums, the new service will also benefit APOLLO’s network of insurance broker partners who utilize the APOLLO platform to manage their clients’ insurance needs.
