HDI Global Specialty SE has named Kelly Callachan (pictured) its strategic relationship manager – a newly created role.
As strategic relationship manager, Callachan will be focused on growing HDI Global Specialty’s single risk business across Canada, with a focus on professional lines and aviation. She will also assist in the firm’s expansion into new specialist commercial lines and will report to HD Global Specialty SE Canada general manager Derek Spafford.
Callachan has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience; she joins HDI Global Specialty from Northbridge Insurance. At Northbridge Insurance, she was served most recently as director of sales and business development. She also held down roles as underwriting manager at Aon Reed Stenhouse and as account manager at Waddell Group.

Last month, HDI Global Specialty appointed Thierno Bah as national underwriting manager, professional liability in Canada. Bah is responsible for expanding the company’s existing architects and engineers book, and he oversees the development of the company’s E&O offering in Canada.
