Western Financial Group has highlighted the success of its latest community engagement campaign called #100KForGivingTuesday.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness for local charities by inviting customers to nominate organizations to receive donations. The campaign’s response included 15,000+ livestream views and participation in charity nominations and social media interactions. It generated over 30,000 engagements and 8,000 charity nominations in three weeks.

It included a live-streamed virtual event, hosted by news broadcaster Akshay Tandon. It featured guests such as GivingTuesday CEO Asha Curran, CanadaHelps CEO Duke Chang, and others.

“The live stream event, combined with dynamic social media engagement, created an interactive and engaging experience,” Western Financial Group said in a news release. “This format allowed us to foster a strong sense of community, where our audience felt connected to something larger than just a campaign—ultimately leading to stronger emotional bonds and brand advocacy.”

The campaign’s reach was expanded through partnerships with influencers, who helped amplify the message and broaden the campaign’s audience. Participants included social media personality Sarah Nicole Landry (AKA The Birds Papaya), video creators Cat and Nat, and Olympian Jon Montgomery.

“#100KForGivingTuesday campaign has set a new standard for customer engagement in the insurance industry,” Western Financial Group said. “By prioritizing community impact and fostering genuine connections, we’ve demonstrated that insurance companies can build meaningful, lasting relationships with their customers—while making a positive difference.”
