Ecclesiastical Insurance is now accepting applications for its 2023 community impact grant.

Registered charities and non-profit organizations are invited to submit their applications until September 15 for a chance to secure funding for projects serving communities.

Since its inception in 2017, Ecclesiastical’s community impact grant program has supported over 200 charities and non-profits throughout Canada.

These organizations have leveraged the grant funding to initiate impactful projects, ranging from providing essential shelter and ensuring food security for vulnerable children and families, to empowering at-risk youth and delivering specialized services to underserved populations.

Recipients of the 2022 grant include Hardy Bay Senior Citizens Society in British Columbia, Heritage Community Association in Saskatchewan, The Sharing Place Food Centre in Ontario, and L’Envol des Femmes – Women on the Rise in Quebec.

“We are incredibly proud of the many successful projects realized by past community impact grant recipients,” said Jacinta Whyte, chair of Ecclesiastical's Canadian grant giving committee.

“As we launch our 2023 program, we look forward to continuing to help Canadian charities make a measurable and important difference to the lives of people in need and, in so doing, deliver sustainable, long-term benefits to their communities.”

“As a specialist insurance company, our mission is to protect those who enrich the lives of others,” added David Huebel, president of Ecclesiastical Canada.

“We are deeply committed to the core principles that fuel this mission––namely, to give back, support the diverse communities we serve, preserve our country's unique heritage and cultures, and contribute to the greater good. Our community impact grant program continues to advance these foundational values.”

Interested parties can find detailed information on the application process and eligibility criteria by visiting Ecclesiastical’s website.

Earlier this year, Ecclesiastical helped fund heritage preservation efforts by sponsoring a contest by the National Trust for Canada. The competition was held to decide which of Canada’s heritage sites would receive a cash prize for restoration and maintenance.
