Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has widened its global transactional liability unit by bringing in Chres Lee as transactional liability head for Canada.
Michael Brooks, who leads transactional liability in North America, expressed enthusiasm about the addition, saying: “With this latest appointment, we continue to strengthen our transactional liability team and capabilities around the globe.
“Chres has deep M&A (mergers and acquisitions) expertise, strong market relationships, and shares BHSI’s commitment to ensuring excellent service for our customers and brokers throughout Canada.”
Lee brings a wealth of experience to BHSI, having most recently served as M&A underwriting counsel for another insurance company. Operating out of Ontario, Lee also has eight years of M&A legal practice at two law firms in Canada.
The global transactional liability team at BHSI specializes in representations & warranties, tax, contingent liability, and class action settlement insurance.
