A Canadian MGA has teamed up with a global fixed premium provider to offer P&I and charterers’ liability insurance.
Eagle Underwriting Group partnered with RaetsMarine – a Dutch fixed premium P&I specialist and an MS Amlin company – to make the two products available in Canada.
The former will be offering both P&I and charterers’ liability insurance on behalf of the latter. According to a release, the partnership will allow Eagle Underwriting to combine its local expertise with RaetsMarine’s specialist
knowledge and service platform.

“Our mutual expertise in combination with the bespoke insurance solutions that we offer results in what we believe to be a fresh and unique proposition to the Canadian Market,” said Eagle Underwriting chairman Bernie Cissek.

Eagle Underwriting, founded in 1996, is an MGA that offers insurance coverages for “Things That Move,” which includes marine and truck cargo, aviation and UAV, marine hull, marine liabilities, logistics providers, environmental liability, political risk, and trade disruption insurance.
Established in 1993, fixed premium provider RaetsMarine operates worldwide from its head office at Rotterdam.
