To honour Canadian Armed Forces members who have died in the line of service, Manulife will once again display Canadian flags on the front lawn of its headquarters in Toronto, ON.

The insurer will display more than 12,000 Canadian flags at the front of its offices to mark this year’s Remembrance Day. Each flag represents 10 members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have fallen in service.

According to Manulife, this is its eighth consecutive year honouring fallen Canadian Armed Forces members with a flag display. The flag display will run from November 02 to Remembrance Day on November 11, 2022.

Manulife also announced that it will continue to support the Royal Canadian Legion by encouraging staff and colleagues to purchase a traditional Poppy from members of the Legion in their communities. Alternatively, staff can also purchase a digital Poppy, which can be shared with family and friends via social media.

The Poppy is worn by Canadians during Remembrance Day as a visual pledge to never forget the sacrifices made by the nation’s brave servicemen and women. The Poppy is also the Legion’s symbol for its Poppy Campaign, which aims to raise funds to support veterans and their families.
