Amid a fresh selection of restaurants earning Michelin stars in Toronto, CHES Special Risk is highlighting its specialized Michelin Restaurants Program, which it launched last year to cater specifically to Michelin-rated and luxury dining establishments.

The Michelin Restaurants Program offers a range of coverage options designed to protect Toronto’s renowned dining landmarks and the culinary talent behind them.

Key features include flexible policy structures, with the managing general agent providing broad or named-perils coverage.

Coverage for owners and tenants is provided as well. Whether a restaurant owns its premises or leases, CHES offers coverage options that include content-only packages or full property protection, accommodating various operating arrangements.

The product also features high liability limits, with liability coverage of up to $5 million, encompassing risks like host liquor liability, tenant’s legal liability, pollution, employee benefits, advertising, and medical payments.

Meanwhile CHES also offers coverage for live entertainment, tailored specifically for high-end dining venues.

“Toronto’s latest Michelin Guide is a testament to the city’s vibrant culinary excellence,” said CHES chief executive and president Gary Hirst. “We are proud to support these world-class establishments by offering coverage that meets the unique demands of Michelin-star restaurants.

“With our program, restaurant owners can focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences, knowing they are protected against unforeseen risks.”
