Mass Group of Insurance Brokerages has found a new president and CEO.
Former
Aviva Canada executive Greg Dunn will be taking on the position at Mass Group of Insurance Brokerages, effective January 1.
“I look forward to working as an independent broker at Mass,” said Dunn, “building on the momentum and working to establish the Mass Group of Insurance Brokerages as the leading national broker for group, affinity and retail business in Canada.”
Dunn has extensive experience in senior leadership roles in the property and casualty insurance industry, including at
Aviva Canada, which he joined in 2004 and where was most recently executive vice president of national claims.
Dunn was also senior vice president of sales for specialty distribution at Aviva Canada, where he was responsible for national sales development of the affinity and group business through the independent broker network in Canada.
Robillard coming to Itech
Itech Environmental Services welcomes a 20-year veteran to lead its industrial sales.
David Robillard comes to Itech Environmental Services after spending two decades in the environmental services industry. He has been a business development professional, focusing on waste disposal, industrial services / cleaning, and emergency response.
David is a graduate of Fanshawe College in London, as an Environmental Engineering Waste Management Technician.
David’s primary objective is to increase awareness of Itech’s single-source industrial services capabilities.
Schmidt tapped for COO spot
Canada’s largest disaster restoration employer is hoping its new chief operating officer will further the expansion of the company.

DKI Canada is currently in a growth phase, and Tucker said that Schmidt’s experience and analytical skills will continue to be utilized to manage that development.
Schmidt has 13 years of industry experience having previously worked for a large insurer and Canadian IA firm. Schmidt joined DKI Canada in 2012 as the director of central region, overseeing Ontario and Quebec. Schmidt progressed through various senior level positions, most recently serving as vice president of DKI Canada Ltd.
More than two decades of experience
The new vice president, national account executive for one insurer brings more than 20 years of experience, with a background in sales, mentorship and management.
Angela Veri was appointed to the VP position this week, and will be reporting to Gary Gardner, senior vice president, global client and business development with Crawford & company (Canada), Inc., Veri will work with Crawford's sales team on product development and strengthening customer relations.
“Angela will play a leading role in representing us in all lines of business," said Pat Van Bakel, president and chief executive officer. “Her strong knowledge of the industry and extensive experience in customer relations will make her a valuable part of our national sales team.”
Veri has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, working in the casualty, long-term disability, employer, and legal markets. During her career, Veri has also developed joint initiatives for a diverse group of service offerings, including claims, engineering, investigations and finance. She has held mentorship and management roles within both the sales and learning & development departments.
“Angela's depth of knowledge and dedication to excellent customer service will support Crawford's key goals very well,” said Gardner. “We are excited to welcome her to the Crawford team."
